Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you buy or use anything from us on www.cfohire.co.za or www.bbbflow.com. We've kept them in plain English. Please read them before you pay.

1. Who we are

CFO Hire (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2017/656054/07, trading as Business Bookkeeping Blueprint (BBB) and BBB Flow.

We are not registered for VAT. The price you see is the price you pay. No VAT is added.

2. What these terms cover

These terms cover everything we sell or give away, including:

  • the BBB Catch-Up Kit (the BBB Flow Template, its quick-start videos and the BBB Reports page);
  • the Business Bookkeeping Boot Camp and our other online courses;
  • live sessions, including the free weekly Q&A;
  • templates and other downloads; and
  • the BBB Flow tools: BBB Books, BBB Payroll, BBB Checklist, BBB Convert and BBB Share Register.

By paying for, signing up to or using any of these, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we look after your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

3. What we do, and what we don't do

We teach business owners how to do their own bookkeeping, and we give you the templates and tools to bring your records up to date.

  • We are not your accountant or tax practitioner. We don't submit tax returns, sign financial statements, or give tax or legal advice about your specific situation.
  • When your books are ready, you can take them to your own registered tax practitioner, or ask us to introduce you to one from our network. Any work that practitioner does is agreed between you and them.
  • We don't help you secure or win tenders. We help you get your books tax ready. Tender work is done by tender and supplier-development specialists.
  • You stay responsible for your own records and for what you submit to SARS, CIPC or anyone else. What you get out of our tools depends on the information you put in.

4. Prices and paying

  • All prices are in South African Rand and are shown on our websites at the time you buy.
  • You can pay by card through our secure checkout (Yoco or our online shop), or by EFT using the payment reference we give you.
  • Invoices are due on receipt. We start delivering once your payment has come through.
  • If an amount stays unpaid after it is due, we may charge interest on it from the due date until it is paid, at the rate set under the Prescribed Rate of Interest Act 55 of 1975. We may also pause your access until it is paid.

5. Getting what you bought

  • BBB Catch-Up Kit (R349, once-off): once your payment comes through, we email your workbook, your Start Here plan and the video links to the email address you paid with, usually within a few hours. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
  • Your R349 comes with you: if you move up to the Business Bookkeeping Boot Camp, the R349 you paid for the Kit comes off the Boot Camp price. You only pay the difference.
  • Courses: you get access to the course on www.cfohire.co.za using your account.
  • Live sessions: these run online at the times shown when you book. We email you the link. Sessions may be recorded, and we may share the recording with people who booked. We may move a session if we have to, and we'll tell you if we do.
  • Free weekly Q&A: this is free and runs on Tuesdays at 19:30 (South African time). We may change the day or time and will show it on our website.
  • BBB Flow tools: these work in your web browser. Some are free (for example BBB Checklist and the BBB Payroll Starter plan), some are once-off purchases (for example the BBB Payroll Business plan), and BBB Books is R797 a year. Paid use of BBB Books is by invitation.
  • BBB Convert: R5 per page of bank statement. We send your Excel file back within 24 hours of payment, or within 8 hours if you choose the R200 fast-track. We check that the opening and closing balances agree before we send it.

6. Our 14-day money-back guarantee

If, within 14 days of paying, you have used what you bought and it hasn't helped you move your bookkeeping forward, email info@cfohire.co.za and we will refund you in full. We may ask what you tried, so we can improve.

  • We pay refunds back to the way you paid, within 30 days of your request.
  • If you get a refund for the Kit or a template, please stop using the file and delete it.
  • For BBB Books, the 14 days run from the start of each paid year.
  • BBB Convert is not covered once we have delivered your Excel file. If there is a mistake in a file we converted, tell us and we'll fix it at no cost.

This guarantee is in addition to your rights in law. It does not take away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, including the 7-day cooling-off right where that applies.

7. Using our templates and content

  • When you buy a template, course or tool, you may use it for your own business. Your staff and your own accountant or tax practitioner may use it with you.
  • Please don't sell, share publicly, copy for others or upload our templates, videos or course content, and don't try to remove the protection on the template.
  • Accounting and bookkeeping firms need our written permission to use our templates with their clients.
  • Our templates, courses, videos, tools and the BBB Flow™ name belong to CFO Hire (Pty) Ltd.

8. Your account and your information

  • Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • The bookkeeping information you capture belongs to you. Some BBB Flow tools let you keep your data in your own Google Drive. Please keep your own backups.
  • We may suspend an account that is used to break these terms or the law.

9. What we are responsible for

  • We take care with our training and tools, but we can't promise a particular result. For example, we can't promise what SARS will decide, or that a bank, lender or tender office will approve you.
  • As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for penalties or interest charged because a submission was late or incorrect. The most we will be liable for is the amount you paid us for the product concerned in the 12 months before the claim.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law says cannot be limited.

10. Other websites and services

Our pages link to other services, such as Yoco for payments, YouTube for videos and Microsoft Excel Online. Their own terms apply when you use them. We try to keep our websites and tools running at all times, but we can't promise they will never be unavailable.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't affect anything you bought before the change.

12. Questions and complaints

Email info@cfohire.co.za. We aim to reply within two working days. If we can't sort it out together, you may contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (www.cgso.org.za).

13. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
